GREENWOOD, Ind. – Nine Colorado State University Pueblo men's and women's cross country/track and field student-athletes have been named as Academic All-District selections by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.
There were four male and five female Pack student-athletes recognized by the CSC on the Academic All-District Team as the male student-athletes selected were sophomore
Tim Anstett (Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, Germany/Southeastern Louisiana), senior
Kaleb Beloy (Anchorage, Alaska/South Anchorage), junior
Xavier Freeman (Pueblo, Colo./Pueblo East) and sophomore
Jon Sweepe (Peoria, Ariz./Liberty), while the female student-athletes selected were junior
Jadyn Herron (Queen Creek, Ariz./Casteel), graduate student
Katherine Higgins (Mead, Colo./Ponderosa), junior
Sarah Renberg (Fresno, Calif./Edison), junior
Mary Scoggins (Rangely, Colo./Rangely) and redshirt senior
Margot Thomas-Gatel (Chapet, Ile-de-France, France/Notre Dame Les Oiseaux).
Anstett, Herron, Higgins, Scoggins and Thomas-Gatel were selected to advance to the 2024-25 CSC Academic All-America ballot, which will be voted by the CSC Division II membership and the CSC Academic All-America Teams for men's cross country/track and field will be announced on July 15, while the CSC Academic All-District for women's cross country/track and field will be announced on July 16.
In order to be eligible for selection to the Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50, be a sophomore both academically and athletically and have been ranked in the Top 50 of the region in at least one individual event or finished in the Top 50 at the NCAA Regional meet in cross country. Institutions were limited to five nominations per gender for a total of 10 overall nominees.

Margot Thomas-Gatel – 3.927 GPA, Biology
Herron, Higgins and Thomas-Gatel are repeat Academic All-District selections from last season, while Higgins was also named a Third-Team CSC Division II Academic All-American last year. In addition, Higgins and Thomas-Gatel earned Academic All-District honors in 2022-23.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's track & field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
