Five ThunderWolves earn RMAC Postseason Accolades

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April 30, 2025) - Five players from Colorado State University Pueblo softball received Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Postseason accolades, led by Caitlyn Cole (Jr., Merced, Calif.) who was selected to her third straight All-RMAC Team earning First Team honors, announced Wednesday.

Cole is joined by Madelyn Huerta (Jr., Azusa, Calif.) who was named Second Team and Darleen Falcon (Jr., Moreno Valley, Calif.), McKenna James (Jr., Windsor, Colo.) and Raelynn Rogers (Sr., Surprise, Ariz.) each were named Honorable Mention.

For a second year in a row, Huerta (SS) and Rogers (3B) were rewarded for their defensive play and each earned RMAC Gold Gloves. For Rogers, it marks the third consecutive Gold Glove at the hot corner.

The quintet helped lead CSU Pueblo to tie the most RMAC wins (26) this year and the fourth seed in the RMAC Tournament, the highest seed for the Pack since 2015.

Player Capsules
Cole finished the regular season on a hot streak and currently leads the team in hitting (.395) and has 51 hits this season including 21 extra-base hits. She has 30 RBI and has earned a .682 slugging. This season, Cole has totaled 12 games with at least two hits and through today has registered 10 multi-RBI games.

Huerta currently holds a .382 average and leads the team in hits (58), doubles (13), RBI (48) and is tied for the lead with seven home runs. She has recorded 15 multi-hit games including an impressive seven 3-hit contests in 2025.

She has earned 11 Multi-RBI games and has the only 5+ RBI game this season for the Pack. Huerta recorded the longest hit-streak of the season at nine games.

James has guided the pitching staff this season and has 12 wins on the season along with 115 strikeouts in 160.1 IP. This season, James became the 14th pitcher in CSU Pueblo history to reach the 100+ strikeout mark. She sits Top 10 in the RMAC in several categories including wins, ERA (3.46), innings pitched and strikeouts.

Falcon earns her first postseason award and was named Honorable Mention after batting over .300 this season and added 33 hits, 15 RBI and scored twenty runs.

Rogers also earned Honorable Mention honors after a successful senior season both at the plate and defensively. She made 32 hits and scored 32 runs and she swiped 14 bases in 50 games played.

Defensive Prowess
In back-to-back season, the left side of the infield has been spectacular for the Pack. The duo combined for 212 assists and committed only 16 errors and recorded a total of 131 putouts.

Huerta earned a .948 fielding and helped turn eight double plays.

Rogers registered a .966 fielding mark and is her third straight year she has commited five errors or less, good for a .957 career FLD%.
