PUEBLO, Colo. (March 8, 2025) - The Colorado State University Pueblo softball team's offense came alive in a big way on Saturday as the ThunderWolves scored twenty runs on 23 hits en route to a doubleheader sweep of Adams State at Rawlings Softball Complex.
With the two game sweep, CSU Pueblo moves to 9-3 at home and are 11-12 overall and 10-6 in conference play.
On the day, the Pack registered five extra-base hits including solo home runs hit by
Madelyn Huerta (Jr., Azusa, Calif.) and
Caitlyn Cole (Jr., Merced, Calif.) in the second game.
Huerta ended another strong day at the plate and went 6-for-7 (.857 avg) at the dish and totaled four RBI and four runs. For the series, Huerta batted .769 and went 10-for-13 with one double, triple and HR.
Darleen Falcon (Jr., Moreno Valley, Calif.) had a fine day on offense and finished with four hits today and ended the weekend with eight hits and three RBI. Five others recorded at least two hits on the day.

Mia Sanchez (Fr., Los Angeles, Calif.) and
McKenna James (Jr., Windsor, Colo.) each picked up wins.Â
For Sanchez in game one, she went the distance and gave up two runs on just two hits and finished with five strikeouts to improve her record to 4-3 this year.
James made her team-high 14th appearance for the Pack and pitched six innings and gave up one run and ended with three strikeouts and scattered nine hits to the Grizzlies and moves to 6-5 on the season.
CSU Pueblo was active on the base paths all day and went 14-of-15 in stolen bases and were led by a perfect 4-for-4 day from
Tori Cordova (Sr., Pueblo West, Colo.).
