Bowman's historic freshman campaign ends on day one at nationals

INDIANAPOLIS (March 14, 2025) - Colorado State University Pueblo wrestling freshman Eddie Bowman (Trinidad, Colo.) ended his first year as a member of the Pack wrestling team after he had to bow out of the 2025 National Championships following an injury during his first match of the day at Corteva Coliseum.

Bowman battled against James Anderson from Ouachita Baptist in his first outing on the biggest stage. The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Freshman of the Year, Bowman was forced to stop action in the middle of the second period and after an injury timeout, Bowman and the training staff felt it was best he not continue due to injury at his mid-section.

He was unable to come out during his consolation match versus Logan Robinson from UNC Pembroke.

Bowman finishes his first year with the ThunderWolves and posted a 20-9 record. His 20 wins was the most on the team this year and he finished with one overtime win, three wins by pin, five TF victories and two majors.
