LAS VEGAS, NM (February 8, 2025) - The Colorado State University Pueblo wrestling team went on the road and took care of business in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference dual and defeated New Mexico Highlands 37-18 behind six bonus point wins, Saturday at John A. Wilson Complex.
CSU Pueblo's offense was active all match and as a team tallied 22 take downs and two four-point near fallsÂ
In the match, the ThunderWolves were led byÂ
Cole Bennett (Jr., Grapevine, Tex.) and
Remington Winmill (R-So., Wendell, Idaho) who both earned first period pins at 149 and 197 pounds respectively.
Eddie Bowman (Fr., Trinidad, Colo.) scored a 20-5 TF win against Samuel Eveland at 133 and in the 157 pound bout,
Cyruss Meeks (Sr., Casper, Wyo.) picked up a 10-2 major over Deklyn Miller.
At 174,
Solomon Arnds-Volcin (So., Colorado Springs, Colo.) scored a remarkable six take downs in the first period en route to a 22-5 TF win versus Sean Casey.
Another tech fall was recorded at 184 when
Donn Greer (Jr., Soledad, Calif.) scored three take downs along with two 4-point near falls all in the first period and won 17-2 against Michael Santos.
Aaron Concepcion (Fr., Anchorage, Alaska) lost by pin (2:29) at 165 against NMHU's Ivan Smith Jr. and
Henry Sturn (So., Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) won by forfeit at 285.
The Pack did not wrestle at 125 or 141 pounds, giving the Cowboys six team points in those matches.
