PUEBLO, Colo. (December 9, 2025) — CSU Pueblo men's soccer standout Nick Cenek (Gr., Peoria, Ill.) has been named a D2CCA First Team All-American, the organization announced Tuesday, capping off one of the most dominant attacking seasons in ThunderWolves history.

Cenek, a graduate midfielder, emerged as one of the nation's premier goal scorers throughout the 2025 campaign. He led the ThunderWolves in every major offensive category, finishing the season with:

  • 12 goals

  • 5 assists

  • 29 total points

  • 54 shots, including 33 on target (.611 SOG%)

  • 5 game-winning goals

  • 1-for-1 on penalty kicks

His 12 goals mark one of the top single-season outputs in program history and ranked among the best in the RMAC and South Central Region.

Sverre Orton from Gannon University was named D2CCA Men's Soccer Ron Lenz Player of the Year.

Around the league, Cenek is joined on the First Team by Alessio Andreotolla from Fort Lewis. Two others from FLC, Casey Stracher and Lorenz Guintini, earned Third Team honors.

Cenek proved to be a threat every time he stepped on the pitch, delivering two six-point performances this year, recording hat tricks against UCCS on Nov. 5 and Fort Lewis on Oct. 19, cementing himself as one of Division II's most explosive and efficient finishers.

He was named D2CIDA National Player of the Week on Oct. 21 after scoring eleven points on five goals and an assist and leading the ThunderWolves to an unbeaten week.

In addition to his scoring prowess, Cenek showcased strong playmaking ability, posting a season-high two assists in the ThunderWolves' match against Colorado Mesa.

Starting 18 of 19 matches and logging 1,412 minutes, Cenek was the focal point of a CSU Pueblo attack that netted 42 goals across the season, helping guide the Pack to a 9-3-7 overall record and a top-three finish in the RMAC standings.

Cenek becomes the latest in a growing list of CSU Pueblo men's soccer players to earn All-American distinction, further strengthening the program's presence on the national stage.
