Scouting the Opponents
Cal Poly Humboldt Lumberjacks
The Lumberjacks have shown strong individual talent throughout the early season and traditionally compete with a physical, high-pressure style on their home mat. Thursday's matchup will require the Pack to control pace, win the hand-fight battles, and capitalize on scoring opportunities late in periods.
Key focal points for the ThunderWolves include mat returns, top-position pressure, and staying disciplined in scramble situations against a squad that thrives on creating chaos.
San Francisco State Gators
The Gators present another tough test, featuring several returning NCAA qualifiers and All-RMAC contenders. Sunday's dual also carries conference implications, giving the Pack an opportunity to build momentum early in the RMAC dual standings. The Gators typically wrestle a tactical, position-sound style, placing a premium on first-period takedowns and riding time.
