INDIANAPOLIS (December 14, 2025) – Colorado State University Pueblo wrestling wrapped up competition at the 46th Annual Midwest Classic with a strong individual performance from Jacob Myers (Fr., Castle Rock, Colo.), who placed fifth at 133 pounds to lead the ThunderWolves over the two-day event.
Myers turned in one of the most productive runs of the tournament for CSU Pueblo, finishing with a 7-2 overall record and scoring 19.0 team points. After an opening-round setback, Myers battled through the consolation bracket with multiple bonus-point victories, including three technical falls and a fall, before securing fifth place with a 6-5 decision in the placement match.
Several other ThunderWolves contributed solid efforts across the lineup. At 141 pounds, Eddie Bowman (So., Trinidad, Colo.) posted a 4-2 record and earned 6.5 team points, highlighted by a technical fall, a major decision and a decision victory in the consolation rounds.
Donn Greer (Sr., Soledad, Calif.) went 3-2 on the weekend at 184, picking up a pair of wins in the championship bracket and adding another major decision in consolations to score 4.5 team points.
Weekend Round-Up
John Spence (Fr., Lafayette, Colo.)) finished 1-2 and recorded a fall victory in the consolation rounds, while Kevin Boston (So., Omaha, Neb.) went 2-2 with two pins to contribute 5.5 team points. Deacon Pickett (Fr., Las Vegas, Nev.) also went 2-2 and earned 4.0 team points with a technical fall and a major decision. Additional appearances for the ThunderWolves came from Thales Rivas (Fr., Houston, Tex.), Solomon Arnds-Volcin (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.), Remington Winmill (R-Sr., Wendell, Idaho) and Henry Sturn (Jr., Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.).
CSU Pueblo will take the next few weeks off for the holiday break and will return to action Jan. 9 and compete at the Western Colorado Open in Gunnison.
