Myers, Bowman and Greer Advance to Day Two at 46th Annual Midwest Classic

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (December 13, 2025) – Colorado State University Pueblo Wrestling sent a full lineup into action at the 46th annual Midwest Classic this weekend, one of the nation's largest Division II tournaments, with the ThunderWolves producing several strong individual performances against a deep national field.

CSU Pueblo was led by Jacob Myers (Fr., Castle Rock, Colo.), Eddie Bowman (So., Trinidad, Colo.),and Donn Greer (Sr., Soledad, Calif.) (184), all of whom advanced to day two of the tournament on Sunday by battling through the consolation brackets in their respective weight classes.

At 133 pounds, Myers put together one of the longest runs of the day for the ThunderWolves. After dropping his opening bout, Myers responded with three consecutive victories in the consolation rounds, including a fall over Max Meredith (Shorter), a technical fall against Chase Hanson (Southwest Minnesota State), and a 7-2 decision over Cael Woods (Tiffin) to finish the day at 3-1.

Bowman followed a similar path at 141, rebounding from a first-round setback with three straight wins to advance. He earned bonus-point victories with a technical fall over Alex Rodriguez (Newman) and a major decision against Daiyan Heard (Coker), before closing the day with a 9-4 decision over Shaun Muse (Central Oklahoma) to move on to Sunday's action.

At 184 pounds, Greer opened his tournament with two impressive wins in the championship bracket, including an 11-1 major decision over Chris Mapp (Newman) and a tie-breaker victory against Jeffery Tubbs (Montevallo). After a loss in the third round, Greer stayed alive in the consolation bracket with a dominant 16-6 major decision over Cooper Durst (Fairmont State), securing his spot on day two.

Several other ThunderWolves recorded notable performances. Kevin Boston (So., Omaha, Neb.) (157) posted a pair of falls in the consolation rounds, while Deacon Pickett (Fr., Las Vegas, Nev.) (165) added a technical fall and a major decision to finish 2-2 on the day. Solomon Arnds-Volcin (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) (174) also picked up two consolation wins, including a fall, before bowing out late.

CSU Pueblo continues competition Sunday at the Midwest Classic as Myers, Bowman and Greer look to extend their tournament runs against elite national competition.
