COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Nov. 25, 2025) — After a dominant weekend on the mat, CSU Pueblo sophomore Eddie Bowman (Trinidad, Colo.) has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Wrestler of the Week following his championship performance at the Younes Hospitality Open.
Bowman delivered one of the tournament's most impressive runs, claiming first place in the Elite 141 bracket while racking up 17.0 team points for the ThunderWolves. His path to the title featured five consecutive victories, showcasing grit, consistency, and the ability to finish strong in high-pressure situations.
Bowman opened his tournament with a commanding 16-8 major decision before defeating 12th-ranked Krayle Stormer of Northern State in a high-scoring 17-10 Round 2 battle. He remained sharp through the middle rounds, edging out an 8-7 win in the quarterfinals and following it up with a decisive 14-7 semifinal performance.
In a thrilling championship match, Bowman sealed the tournament title with a 14-11 sudden victory over Max Brady of Northern Iowa, capping one of the most complete outings of his CSU Pueblo career.
Bowman becomes the first ThunderWolf to earn an RMAC weekly honor this season as CSU Pueblo wrestling continues to build momentum early in the 2025-26 campaign.
