Pack Scores Big Road Win Over MSU Denver

DENVER, Colo. (Oct. 9, 2025) — The Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer team picked up a key Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference road victory Thursday evening, defeating MSU Denver 2-1 at The Assembly Athletic Complex.

The road win marks the first CSU Pueblo win at MSU Denver since September 21, 1997, a 1-0 CSU Pueblo win over the Roadrunners.

The ThunderWolves (3-4-3, 2-1-1 RMAC) capitalized on scoring chances in each half, while goalkeeper Alva Hellenius (Fr., Stockholm, Sweden) made four saves to secure the win.

Cameron Farthing (Sr., Coventry, England) put CSU Pueblo on the board in the 40th minute, converting from the penalty spot after a foul in the box to give the Pack a 1-0 advantage at halftime.

MSU Denver (1-6-4, 1-3-1 RMAC) equalized in the 67th minute on a goal from the Roadrunners, but the ThunderWolves responded quickly. Jenna Elledge (Fr., Farmington, NM) delivered the game-winner in the 77th minute, finishing a chance that put CSU Pueblo ahead for good.

The Pack were efficient in front of goal, recording six total shots — four on target — compared to the Roadrunners' 12 shots. CSU Pueblo's defense held strong under pressure, with Hellenius stopping three second-half attempts to preserve the result.
