PUEBLO, Colo. (Oct. 2, 2025) – The No. 8-ranked Colorado State University Pueblo men's soccer team opened Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play Thursday night with a 1-1 draw against Westminster at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
The ThunderWolves (4-0-5, 0-0-1 RMAC) wasted no time grabbing the lead when So Nagano (Sr., Kobe, Japan) scored his second goal of the season in the 6th minute, finishing a pass from Jose Peris Gimeno (Fr., Burriana, Castellón, Spain) to put the Pack ahead 1-0.
Westminster (4-3-1, 0-0-1 RMAC) equalized moments later as the Griffins found the net in the 13th minute, leveling the score at 1-1.
Despite creating 12 total shots and six on target, the Pack could not break through for the game-winner. Nick Cenek (Gr., Peoria, Ill.) and Matty Parkes (So., Newcastle, England) each tallied three shots to lead the attack.
Defensively, goalkeeper Esteban Gonzalez (Jr., Brussels, Belgium) continued his strong play, recording five second-half saves to keep the match level and extend his unbeaten streak in net.
CSU Pueblo held an 8-6 edge in fouls and was called offside five times, while Westminster was whistled offside six times and picked up the match's lone yellow card.
