PUEBLO, Colo. (January 30, 2025) – The Colorado State University Pueblo softball team will open the 2025 season campaign with a seven-game nonconference schedule in California starting this weekend at the UCI Kickoff Classic, hosted by University of California-Irvine, in Irvine, California.
The Pack will finish their West Coast trip with a doubleheader on Monday versus Azusa Pacific.
The Bianca Duran-led ThunderWolves will face San Francisco State, Hawai'i Pacific, Cal State San Bernardino, UC-Irvine, and Sonoma State over the three-day event.
CSU Pueblo has two games each day on Friday and Saturday and will wrap the tournament with a single game Sunday. All games will be played at OC Great Park.
The Pack begin the trek Friday at 11:30 a.m. (MT) versus SFSU and will stay on the diamond and take on Hawai'i Pacific at 2:00 p.m. (MT).
Saturday, the ThunderWolves will play Cal San Bernardino at Noon (MT) and play host UC-Irvine under the lights starting at 7:30 p.m. (MT).
On Sunday, CSU Pueblo will finish with a Noon match-up against Sonoma State.
The ThunderWolves return several key returners from a season ago including preseason All-American Caitlyn Cole (Jr., Merced, Calif.).
OPPONENT CAPSULES
The ThunderWolves are a combined 0-7 all-time against this weekend's opponents. CSU Pueblo is 0-5 all-time against Sonoma State, the last meeting was in 2001. The ThunderWolves are 0-1 against San Bernardino with the last match-up coming in 2001 and they are 0-1 versus Hawai'i Pacific in their only match-up in 2019.
