EDMOND, Okla. (January 26, 2025) - The Colorado State University Pueblo wrestling team went on the road and faced a tall task and battled against No. 5 Central Oklahoma, falling 40-6 to the Bronchos Sunday at Hamilton Field House.

Hayden Tuma (Fr., Boise, Idaho) came away with a 4-2 decision victory at 141 pounds over Shaun Muse and
Solomon Arnds-Volcin (So., Colorado Springs, Colo.) picked up a big 8-2 victory over Tucker Waitman at 174 pounds, scoring team points for the Pack.
Starting the match, CSU Pueblo forfeit the 125 pound bout and at 133,
Eddie Bowman (Fr., Trinidad, Colo.) lost by fall (1:36) versus Peter Rolle.
In Tuma's battle with Muse at 141 and after a scoreless first period, the UCO wrestler chose bottom and earned an escape to start the period before Tuma got a take down midway through to take a two-point lead. Muse was able to escape before the end of the period and Tuma led 3-2 going to the last period.
In the third, Tuma chose bottom and quickly escaped and built the two-point lead and used a strong defensive effort over the final moments to get the win.
Cole Bennett (Jr., Grapevine, Tex.) was pinned at 1:44 against Dylan Brown at 149 pounds.
At 157,
Cyruss Meeks (Sr., Casper, Wyo.) lost by major, 14-3 against Gabe Johnson.
In the next outing,
Aaron Concepcion (Fr., Anchorage, Alaska) wrestled at 165 for the Pack and was pitted against Hunter Jump, falling by major 14-0 in the match.
Arnds-Volcin scored during each period and started with a first period take down and an early lead against Waitman. In the second, he chose bottom and quickly escaped and carried the 4-0 lead into the last period.
The final two minutes saw Arnds-Volcin earn another take down, combined with two escapes for Waitman ended in favor of the Pack in a 8-2 decision win.
Competing at 184 pounds,
Donn Greer (Jr., Soledad, Calif.) competed against UCO's Garrett Wells and was pinned in the first period at 1:54.
Remington Winmill (R-So., Wendell, Idaho) entered the match for the 197 pound outing and lost by TF 24-8 against Emmanuel Skillings.
In the last bout of the afternoon,
Henry Sturn (So., Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) battled Judson Rowland in a hard-fought match, falling 4-2 against the Bronchos' heavyweight.
