KANSAS CITY, Mo. (August 12, 2024) - The Colorado State University Pueblo men's soccer team, fresh of a second appearance in as many season in the National Championship match, will open the season ranked second in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll, announced by league officials.

Oliver Twelvetrees-led ThunderWolves are coming off an impressive 18-5-3 record in 2023 and won their first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament Championship, en route to an exciting trip through the NCAA Tournament.
Earning the No. 1 spot is 2023 National Champion, Franklin Pierce.
CSU Pueblo finished the 2023 campaign with a remarkable road record of 10-3-1 and finished 7-1-1 on home turf at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
This season, the Pack will play ten matches at home including an exhibition contest on Thursday, August 22 against Otero College Rattlers. The schedule also includes seven games on the road and two exhibition matches.Â
The regular season will begin Sept. 5 at the CSU Pueblo Kickoff which will feature four teams in action at Gonzales Stadium. The ThunderWolves will take on Western Oregon at 7 p.m. under the lights and will battle Northwest Nazarene on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 1 p.m.
The RMAC portion of the schedule will start Oct. 3 at MSU Denver. The first home RMAC game will be Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. against Colorado Christian.
Fort Lewis joins the Pack in the Top 25 and enters the poll at No. 21. Colorado Mesa is receiving votes.
