LOUISVILLE, Ken. (May 9, 2024) - Colorado State University Pueblo sophomore softball player
Caitlyn Cole (Merced, Calif.) has been named to the 2024 National Fastpitch Coaches Association First Team All-South Central Region, announced Thursday.
Cole becomes the first CSU Pueblo softball player since Isabel Griego in 2021 to earn NFCA All-Region accolades and is the Pack's first First Team selection since 2006 when Shana Martin earned first team honors.
She is the ninth player in program history to earn recognition for her prowess on the diamond.
Cole finished a strong sophomore campaign and was named First Team All-RMAC after she set a new school record for doubles in a season (30) and runs (60). She led the team in nearly every statistical category and was in the three or better in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in Average (.460), Slugging (.852), On-Base Pct. (.537), OPS (1.389), stolen bases (27) and finished T5th in runs.
The utility player helped lead the ThunderWolves to their first RMAC Tournament berth since 2019 and finished the season with a 22-35 record.
This season,  Cole led the Pack in multi-hit games (24) including seven 3-hit contests. She recorded her first career 5-RBI game on Mar. 10 at New Mexico Highlands.
