COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (May 30, 2024) - Colorado State University Pueblo men's golfers
Jamie Roberts (Sr., Kinross, Scotland) and
Evan Smith (So., Pueblo, Colo.) have both been named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) First Team All-Academic, announced Thursday by league officials.
The duo leads three others named to the Honor Roll.
For a third year in a row, Roberts earns First Team honors after posting a 3.51 Grade-Point Average as a Business Management major. This season, Roberts led the ThunderWolves to a berth in the NCAA West/South Central Regional.
He ends his CSU Pueblo career with three Top 3 finishes on the year and is ranked No. 32 in Division II. He recorded a scoring average of 71.3 in 33 rounds played.
Smith earns his first academic honor and competed in four tournaments this season for the Pack. An Economics major, Smith boasts a 4.00 GPA and earned a scoring average of 78.3.
Braydon Jones from South Dakota Mines was named RMAC Academic Player of the Year and earned a 4.00 GPA in Electrical Engineering.
To qualify for RMAC All-Academic First Team, student-athletes must carry a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA through the most recently completed term. Qualifiers must also have been a student at their respective institution for at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters and must use a season of competition.
