Women's Golf Wins Second Straight Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship

Pack were led by Freya Constable's Runner-Up finish

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – For the second straight season, the Colorado State University Pueblo women's golf team has won the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship.

This is the first conference championship for head coach Tammy Lim, and her second overall win as a head coach. This is also the first time since MSU Denver in 2015-16 that there has been a back-to-back champion.

CSU Pueblo is now the all-time leader in conference championships with five, as they surpass former RMAC member, Western New Mexico (now Lone Star Conference) who previously had four titles. The ThunderWolves have won in the years 2012, 2014, 2019, 2023, and now 2024.

With the win, CSU Pueblo who was the heavy favorite coming into this week, clinches a postseason berth into the NCAA West Regional.

The Pack led wire to wire in the tournament. After shooting an impressive even par round in the opening round to set the tone for the field, the Pack kept their lead for the next two days to win the title, shooting rounds of 288 – 307 - 294.
CSU Pueblo won the tournament by 22 strokes over second place Colorado Mesa University who shot 47 over par. Regis finished right behind Mesas at 48 over par to take home third place.

The Pack were led this week by sophomore phenom Freya Constable (Edinburgh, Scotland/Boroghmuir) who took home silver medalist honors with a three-day total of three over par (69-75-75).

RMAC Player of the Year hopeful and captain Kylie Severin (Aurora, Colo./Vista Peak Prep) had a huge bounce back third round to backdoor her way into a T3 finish. With the tied third place finish, Severin finished the week at seven over par (73-80-70).

Freshman Lisa Ekberg (Kingsbacka, Sweeden) was fantastic this week as the Swedish sensation finished tied for third with Severin at seven over par (75-75-73), while Pueblo native Zoey Rodriguez (Pueblo, Colo./Pueblo South) grinded out three solid scores on the week to finish 11 over par (73-77-77) to finish tied seventh.

Junior Anju Ogi (Arvada, Colo./Arvada West) came up huge for the Pack this week on day's one and three. Ogi finished the week in 19th place at 17 over par (73-84-76).

With the win CSU Pueblo clinches their postseason berth into the NCAA West Regional. The West Region will be held in Stockton, Calif. at Brookside Golf and Country Club.
