PUEBLO, Colo. (April 16, 2024) - The Colorado State University Pueblo men's golf team won its final tune-up of the regular season at a familiar course in the Pueblo Country Club, securing first place out of eight teams at the Southern Colorado Masters.
Archie Wyatt (So., Edingburgh, Scotland) finished T-3rd overall and paced the ThunderWolves at the two-day event. Wyatt scored Even-par through three rounds and carded scores of 71-69-73-213 and finished with nine birdies to his credit.
In round two on Monday, Wyatt scored a team-best 69 and finished the round with three birdies on the back nine.
Placing 5th overall and one stroke behind Wyatt,
Jamie Roberts (Sr., Kinross, Scotland) totaled scores of 70-72-72-214 and earned 12 birdies overall and scored four in each round at the tournament.
Jeffrey Nelson (Jr., Commerce City, Colo.) finished T-9th overall and 5-over 218. He tallied eight birdie shots for the Pack.
Next up,
Colt Tenpenny (So., Fulshear, Tex.) placed T-16th as an individual and earned scored of 73-78-70-221 after earning seven birdie shots.
Placing T-24th,
Paraic McGrath (Fr., Galway, Ireland) finished 11-over 224 and was followed by
Conner Moberly (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) who placed T-32nd with scores of 77-76-74-227.
Rounding out the field for the ThunderWolves,
Callum Kenneally (Fr., Duns, Scotland) and
Evan Smith (So., Pueblo, Colo.) both finished T-43rd overall at 232. Kenneally carded a 78-73-81 while Smith scored 74-76-82 over the three rounds.

CSU Pueblo will turn its attention to the upcoming Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships, set for April 21-23 at the Boulder Creek Golf Club in Henderson, Nevada.
