PUEBLO, Colo. (December 6, 2024) – For an unprecedented fourth time this 2024 season and second time in three weeks, the Colorado State University Pueblo men's soccer team will take on Fort Lewis College Skyhawks in the NCAA South Central Regional Final, on Saturday starting at 3 p.m. at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium, with a spot in the NCAA Final Four on the line.
The No. 1 seeded ThunderWolves earned their spot in the NCAA Elite Eight after posting a 3-0 win over 5-seeded Cal State LA last Sunday at Gonzales Stadium.
Fort Lewis, seeded-sixth in the South Central Regional Bracket, defeated No. 2 seed Midwestern State 2-0 last Sunday in Wichita Fallas, Texas.
The
Oliver Twelvetrees-led ThunderWolves enter the contest with a 16-3-3 record, while Fort Lewis comes to Pueblo with a 14-3-6 record in 2024.
Pack Pointers
Senior captain
Caio Oliveira (Espigao d'Oeste, Brazil) is having his best season with the ThunderWolves and was named RMAC Offensive Player of the Year. He enters Saturday's match with 13 assists on the year, placing him T-4th in Division II.
Fellow captain
Shjon Andrews (Gr., Longmont, Colo.) joins Oliveira as the only Pack teammates to have recorded 10+ goals in a season since before the 2007 season.
Ignatius DeMark (Sr., Phoenix, Ariz.) also sits in the Top 10 in the country and is 10th in assists (11).
As a team, the ThunderWolves stout defense ranks 8th in Goal Differential, and the Pack offense ranks 21st in Scoring Offense (2.32 Goals per game). The offense also ranks 6th in corner kicks and averages 6.91 per contest and 9th in goals scored (51).

The second outing came on Oct. 20 in a RMAC match at Gonzales Stadium. FLC came away with a 1-0 win after scoring an early goal in the first half.
In the third and most recent match-up and on the biggest stage to that point in the season, the RMAC Tournament Championship, CSU Pueblo defeated the Skyhawks 2-1 behind a brace from
Jose Bustamante (Jr., Davie, Fla.).
