This is the 11th of 12 articles highlighting the CSU Pueblo Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2024 Inductees and today's 11th article features both the 2011-12 and 2013-14 women's golf teams
Although there was a season in between the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championship seasons, the two women's golf squads are part of athletic history at Colorado State University Pueblo.
2011- 2012 Women's Golf – The Pack captured the school's first women's RMAC title by overcoming a five-stroke deficit to capture the crown. Domi Dinallo led the Greg Dillon-coached team, as her 153 two-round score topped the individual list to become the Pack's first RMAC women's champion. With the RMAC win, the Pack earned the women their first berth in the NCAA Division II Regionals, where the team finished seventh and DiNallo tied for 15th individually. Other golfers on the team were Michaela Breit, Kelly Meldrum, Julie Sanchez, and Trisha Vinci. Dillon was named the RMAC's coach of the year. Dinallo also was named the top academic golfer in the RMAC for the season. ROSTER
2013-2014 Women's Golf – Placing three players amongst the top 10, including individual co-champion Julie Sanchez, the ThunderWolves, who were coached by Josh Koschke and assisted by Rick Ewing, won their second RMAC title in the last three years by a 15-shot margin. Sanchez's 36-hole total of 152 tied Colorado Christian's Katrina Mendez for co-medalist honors. Leina Kim, who won three individual tournaments during the season, tied for third, just one shot back at 153. Other top ThunderWolves in the RMAC's were Domi DiNallo, Michaela Breit, and Katie Maglia. At the end of the season, Kim made school history as she was named a WGCA (Women's Golf Coaches Association of America) NCAA Division II All-America. A second-team selection, Kim was the first player in Pack history to earn such an accolade. Kim won the NCAA regional individual title but was disqualified for signing a wrong scoring card. Dinallo also was named the top academic golfer in the RMAC for the second time. ROSTER
