PUEBLO, Colo. - The Colorado State University Pueblo Swimming Team concluded the Western - Kearney - Pueblo Tri-Meet with a an 1-3 record, winning their final match against Nebraska-Kearney.
CSU Pueblo dropped their two matches on Friday, first to Western Colorado 216-62, and to Nebraska-Kearney 139-137.
On Saturday, the ThunderWovles performed well at the Sam Jones Natatorium in Pueblo, going 1-1 on the day.Â
CSU Pueblo performed much better in their first match against a strong Western Colorado, falling 178-94.
In the second match of the morning, the ThunderWolves bounced back, winning 150-117.
The Pack on Saturday were led by
Olivia Dannhaus (Sheridan, Wyo./Sheridan), as the sophomore broke a pool record in the 200 breaststroke, winning the event with a time of 2:29.36.
Dannhaus also won the 100 breaststroke, swimming a time of 1:09.17 in the event.
Also winning on Saturday was Laci Den (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Mainland Regional), as the sophomore took home a win in the 200 freestyle, swimming a time o 2:02.20.
Denn also took home a win in the 400 IM, swimming a time of 4:55.72, winning by five seconds.
Paola C Wu (San Pedro Sula, Honduras/Indianapolis) showed her dominance in the difficult 500 freestyle race, narrowly winning by .06 seconds, with a time of 5:28.01.
