Women's soccer prepared to host Regis and Black Hills State

PUEBLO, Colo. (October 16, 2024) - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer team will return to action this week and welcome Regis University and Black Hills State University to Pueblo for a pair of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference games at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.

The ThunderWolves and Regis will play Thursday at 4 p.m. and on Sunday, CSU Pueblo and BHSU will compete starting at 11 a.m. 

CSU Pueblo is back on the pitch following a 1-1 draw last Friday at Western Colorado.

Jerzie Troost (Sr., Phoenix, Ariz.) scored her first goal of the season and helped lead the Pack defense in allowing the Mountaineers one goal and eight shots including four SOG.

Pack goalkeeper Elaina Leitner (Fr., Longmont, Colo.) has played remarkable this season and has made 38 saves and has a goal-against average of 2.35 in nine games played.

Sydney Lasater (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) leads the team in scoring and has nine points with four goals and one assist recorded.

Series History
The ThunderWolves are 9-17-1 dating back to 2007. The Pack last beat WCU on April 20, 2021 in the RMAC Tournament Semifinal in Denver.

Against the Yellow Jackets, the Pack are unbeaten at 7-0 all-time. CSU Pueblo averages 3.57 goals when facing BHSU and are a perfect 3-0 in home games against the Yellow Jackets.

In Sight for the Pack

CSU Pueblo will go on the road next week and play at Westminster on Oct. 25 and at Colorado Mesa on Oct. 27.
