COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April 18, 2023) - Colorado State University Pueblo softball player Caitlyn Cole (Fr., Merced, Calif.) was named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the first time in her young career after recording a pair of multi-home run contests, announced Thursday by league officials.

Cole had a breakout weekend for the ThunderWolves and doubled her home run total, hitting five bombs over four games at UCCS. On Saturday, she posted her first two home runs of the weekend during CSU Pueblo's 3-2 win in game one.

She followed it up on Sunday and hit three more home runs including two more during the third game of the series. She now has 11 home runs on the year, putting her in the top 10 in the conference.

This weekend at UCCS, Cole was a near impossible out after she totaled 10 RBI, 9 runs, one double, a 2.200 slugging percentage, a .733 on-base mark and she was selective at the plate, earning five walks.

Cole is the first RMAC Player of the Week for the ThunderWolves this season.

CSU Pueblo returns home this week for the final home series of the regular season against Black Hills State. The four-game series will begin Saturday at Noon at Rawlings Sports Complex.
