ROHNERT PARK, Calif. (April 11, 2023) - The Colorado State University Pueblo men's golf team ended the regular season competing at the NCAA West Regional Preview and finished in 14th place out of a field of 21 teams and scored 33-over par 299-295-303-897 at Foxtail Golf Club, Monday and Tuesday.

The trio of Jamie Roberts (Jr., Kinross, Scotland), Liam Duncan (Sr., Kirkcaldy, Scotland) and Jeffrey Nelson (So., Commerce City, Colo.) each shot +9 225 over three rounds, good for a T-53rd place finish.

Matt Millar (Devon, England) and Archie Wyatt (Fr., Edinburgh, Scotland) wrapped the tournament with a T-71st place finish after both golfers scored a +12 228.

Cal State San Marcos took home the team title and the individual medalist honor. The Cougars shot 11-under 853 and Matthew Pennington of Cal San Marcos won the individual medalist honor and finished 8-under 208. 

Roberts ended his regular season with seven birdies and improved his first two round scores of 3- and 4-over with a 2-over 74 card in round three to finish 9-over for the tourney.

The lone senior for the Pack, Duncan also improved as the ended tournament progressed and knocked down six birdies including two birdies in Tuesday's final round.

Nelson hit a team-high 12 birdies and after ending the second round even par, he went 3-over 78 on Tuesday for the Pack.

Ending T-71st, Millar had the biggest jump in the third round and went up five spots after lowering his score by one stroke, 77-76-75 after each round. He ended with nine birdies.

Wyatt shot 76-74-78-228 and ended with five birdies for the ThunderWolves.

CSU Pueblo will next compete at the RMAC Championships, April 23-25 at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada.
