LAS VEGAS, Nev. (March 7, 2023) - The No. 10 Colorado State University Pueblo men's golf team finished in fourth place in a stacked field of 20 teams that included eight teams ranked in the Top 20 and
Jamie Roberts (8-under) carded the best third round score to help pace the ThunderWolves.
Roberts finished the three-day tournament with a total 212 (76-72-64) and he recorded eight birdies and one eagle shot on the 16th hole on Tuesday, vaulting him ten spots on the individual leaderboard.
Also for the Pack,
Matt Millar landed T-17th place after he ended 6 over par 222 (75-71-76). He shot a +4 during round three and tallied eight birdie shots.
Liam Duncan finished T-38th after a 2-over round three score. Duncan started on the 6th hole and struggled on the 18th, and dropped ten spots on the leaderboard.
Archie Wyatt ended T-53rd and was unable to find his stroke on the final day, going 8-over on Tuesday, ending his tournament +14 230 (79-71-80).
Rounding out the field,
Jeffrey Nelson placed T-72nd at +17 over 233 total. Nelson rebounded on the final day, shooting even par to move up fifteen spots.
Colorado Christian won the team title with a score of 870 (299-284-287) and Lee University's Beck Burnette was the individual medalist with a 54-hole score of 204 (72-63-69).
CSU Pueblo returns to action in two weeks and will host the SoCo Masters, March 20-21 at the Pueblo Country Club.
