PUEBLO, Colo. (March 30, 2023) - The Colorado State University Pueblo softball team returns home this week and welcomes Adams State University to begin a four-game Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference series beginning Friday at Noon for Strikeout Cancer Weekend at Rawlings Sports Complex.

The ThunderWolves are back in action after playing just two games of a four-game set last week at Colorado School of Mines. Saturday's doubleheader was wiped out due to snow and cold temperatures in the Denver Metro.

In the first two games on Friday against the Orediggers, CSU Pueblo dropped two one-run losses. In the first game, Delaney Barela (Jr., Pueblo, Colo.) went 2-for-2 at the plate and totaled two RBI. Barela hit her first triple of the season in the fourth inning.

Raelynn Rogers (So., Surprise, Ariz.) also gathered an RBI for the ThunderWolves.

In the second game, a late-game rally fell short in a 7-6 loss. Jill Bishop (Sr., Brighton, Colo.) hit a two-run bomb in the first inning and the ThunderWolves offense produced three extra-base hits in the contest.

The Pack's last stitch effort came up short as they tying run was left stranded to end the sixth inning.

SETTING THE STAGE

Last season, CSU Pueblo split a four-game series on the road at Adams State.
