PUEBLO, Colo. (March 21, 2023) - No. 8 Colorado State University Pueblo men's golf finished its lone home event of the spring season and finished in fourth place in a field of ten teams at the Southern Colorado Masters played at the Pueblo Country Club.
The duo of
Matt Millar (Jr., Devon, England) and
Jamie Roberts (Jr., Kinross, Scotland) paced the ThunderWolves and finished T-12th overall and ended 1-over 214 thru 54 holes.
Millar shot a team-best 1-under on Tuesday and scored 11 birdies and sank 33 par shots.
Roberts tied a tournament-best and hit two eagle shots in his efforts.
As a team, CSU Pueblo finished 5-over and carded 284-281-292-857 scores through three rounds.
Liam Duncan (Sr., Kirkcaldy, Scotland) ended T-14th and 2-over par 215.
Tyler Tyson (So., Arvada, Colo.) and
Jeffrey Nelson (So., Commerce City, Colo.) both finished T-30th overall. Tyson scored 72-70-78-220 and Nelson finished with scores of 76-72-72-220 over three rounds.
The CSU Pueblo "B" Team also competed and finished 8th overall and ended with 305-294-292-891.
Archie Wyatt (Fr., Edinburgh, Scotland) finished in fifth place overall after he vaulted 23 spots over the final round. Wyatt ended his outing and scored 77-69-65-211. He led the "B" team with his 6-under round three and sank seven birdies through 18 holes for the Pack.
Colt Tenpenny (Fr., Fulshear, Tex.) finished T-34th and 8-over par in three rounds.
Evan Smith (Fr., Pueblo, Colo.) ended in 41st place and shot +12 and
Connor Moberly (So., Colorado Springs, Colo.) finished in 53rd overall.
CSU Pueblo will next compete at the Western New Mexico Mustang Intercollegiate on April 3-4 in Silver City, New Mexico.
