ALAMOSA, Colo. (February 8, 2023) - With the NCAA Super Region VI Championships just over two weeks away, Colorado State University Pueblo wrestling wrapped its dual season on the road at No. 8 Adams State, falling 39-6 on Wednesday in ASU's Plachy Hall.

Starting the dual at the 285 pound match, Ben Gould (R-Jr., Canyon Country, Calif.) scored a first period pin (1:37) at the 285 pound match against Abraham Garcia from ASU to score the only team points of the evening for the ThunderWolves.

On the night, CSU Pueblo struggled to create any offense and totaled six points. Anthony Nichols (R-Jr., Grand Coulee, Wash.) had a strong outing against Dylan Pickering and trailed 4-3 going into the third period.

Pickering earned an escape and takedown in the last moments and won 7-3 over Nichols.

The ThunderWolves next will compete in the Colorado School of Mines Open all day on Sunday in Golden.

The Region VI Championships is on Saturday, February 25 in Chadron, Nebraska.
