Campora named United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-American

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (December 8, 2023) - Colorado State University Pueblo men's soccer senior striker Gabriel Campora (Saltillo, Mexico) postseason accolades continue to pile up as he was named to United Soccer Coaches All-America Third Team released on Thursday.

Campora is the second USC All-American in as many years and joins Lamar Bynum on the list of Pack recipients.

The Pack senior helped propel 3-seed CSU Pueblo to the National Championship match for a second year in a row after defeating 2-seed Florida Tech 1-0 in overtime in the national semifinal. The ThunderWolves will face top seed Franklin Pierce in the championship match which is a rematch of the 2022 title game.

This season, Campora has led CSU Pueblo's offense and has 41 points in 25 games played. He has scored 19 goals and three assists. 

The First Team All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference forward is currently fourth in the nation in total goals and is sixth in points.

Campora was named D2CCA All-American Second Team, and D2CCA All-South Central Region First Team along with United Soccer Coaches All-South Central Region accolades.

He has nine game-winning goals to his credit and after yesterday's win, he is a perfect 6-for-6 on penalty kicks.

The National Championship game against the Ravens is set for Saturday at 2 p.m. (MT) at Matthews Sportsplex in Matthews, NC.
