PUEBLO, Colo. – The Colorado State Pueblo women's swimming and diving team closed out its home 2023-24 schedule here Saturday afternoon as the ThunderWolves suffered a 155-79 dual meet loss to Colorado College at the Sam Jones Aquatic Center on the CSU Pueblo campus.
Saturday's meet was originally scheduled to be a double-dual meet with Western Colorado and Colorado College, but overnight snow prevented Western Colorado from making the trip from Gunnison, Colo., and the dual meet with them was canceled.
On Saturday, a span of 12 events occurred on Saturday, with the Pack competing in 10 of the 12 events.
The Pack won four individual events on Saturday, along with claiming a win in one of the two relay events as the Pack won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:52.28. The members of the winning relay team were sophomore
Carla Sanchez Guareno (Banyeres del Penedes, Spain/Institut de L'Arboc), freshman
Olivia Dannhaus (Sheridan, Wyo./Sheridan), junior
Paola C Wu (San Pedro Sula Honduras/University of Indianapolis) and freshman
Ashlee Urroz (Littleton, Colo./Arapahoe CC).
C Wu won two individual events as she took home first place in the 200 IM with a time of 2:12.86, while also winning the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:22.78.
Urroz captured an individual win in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.02 and the final event win came from freshman
Laci Denn (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Mainland Regional) as she won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:58.93.
The Pack also had second place finishes in the 1,000-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly.
In the 1,000-yard freestyle, junior
Andrea Gallardo Perez (Merida, Mexico/Iowa Central CC) was second with a time of 11:46.32 and Urroz was second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.16.
Sanchez Guareno was third in both the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:03.41 and the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:03.08, while Dannhaus was third in the 200 IM with a time of 2:19.48.
The Pack's 200-yard freestyle relay teams took home both third and fifth place finishes. The 'A' Relay team was third with a time of 1:46.08 and the 'B' Relay team was fifth with a time of 1:53.84. The members of the 'A' Relay team were freshman

CSU Pueblo will return to pool on Jan. 19-21 as they compete in the three-day Colorado College Classic held at the Schlessman Natorium on the Colorado College campus in Colorado Springs, Colo.
