COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (November 9, 2023) - Colorado State University Pueblo men's soccer players
Shjon Andrews (Sr., Longmont, Colo.),
Kenshin Uneo (Sr., Hyogo, Japan) and
Dylan Zavatini (Jr., Santa Catarina, Brazil) have been named to Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference First Team All-Academic and leads eight others named to the Honor Roll, announced Thursday by league officials.
Andrews maintains a 3.81 Grade-Point Average and is a Business Administration major. Andrews was named RMAC Defensive Player of the Year for a second year in a row after leading the ThunderWolves defensive in eleven shutout wins and holding the opposition to just 15 goals in twenty games. The center back has eight points on the year, scoring three goals and two assists so far this season.
Uneo holds a 4.00 GPA and major is Business Management (Sports Industry). This season, Uneo has played a big part in helping CSU Pueblo to keep opponents to less than a goal per game (0.75) and only 5.74 shots per contest.
Zavatini earns first team honors after boasting a 4.00 GPA as a Health Sciences major. In 19 games played, Zavatini has scored two goals and as one of the Pack's primary defenders on the back line, he has helped the Pack record the second best scoring defenses in the RMAC.
Colorado School of Mines' Marc Zimmerman was named RMAC Academic Player of the Year and holds a 3.93 GPA and major is Electrical Engineering.
