No. 13 Pack wrap fall season with fourth place finish at Otter Invitational

SEASIDE, Calif. (October 17, 2023) - The No. 13 ranked Colorado State University Pueblo men's golf team wrapped its fall season and competed at the Otter Invitational, hosted by Cal State Monterey Bay and finished fourth out of 12 teams at the two-day tournament at Bayonet Golf Course.

The ThunderWolves finished 4-over (288-291-289-868) through 54 holes and was led by senior Jamie Roberts (Kinross, Scotland) who finished T-3rd overall at 5-under 211 and ended one shot behind first place finisher Liam Allder from Cal State Monterey Bay.

For the tournament, Roberts carded 68-72-71 scores and earned 12 birdies and scored two eagle shots. Roberts hit eagles on the 18th hole par 5 during both the first and second rounds.

Colt Tenpenny (So., Fulshear, Tex.) vaulted five spots during the third round and ended T-11th and shot even par during his time on the links. Tenpenny sank 14 birdies including six during Tuesday's third round.

Finishing 2-over 218, Archie Wyatt (So., Edinburgh, Scotland) placed T-14th after he scored back-to-back 74s and recorded eleven birdies for the ThunderWolves.

Jeffrey Nelson (Jr., Commerce City, Colo.) ended his tournament T-36th and moved up four spots over the second and third rounds. Nelson was successful on eight birdies.

Rounding out the field, Connor Moberly (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) finished T-47th and moved up seven spots on the leaderboard between rounds two and three. He was able to hit six birdie shots.

CSU Pueblo will now enter winter break and will start its spring season Feb. 12-13 and compete at the Fujikara Invitational, hosted by Cal State San Marcos at Shadowridge Golf Club in San Diego.
