EDMOND, Okla. (January 16, 2023) - The Colorado State University Pueblo wrestling team faced a tough challenge on the road on Saturday at No. 1 Central Oklahoma, falling 36-0 to the Bronchos.

The ThunderWolves battled the entire match and had several high points throughout the day. The Pack received four matches that ended within two points including at the 141 pound match featuring Michael Atencio dropping a 4-3 decision with the riding time being the difference in the bout against UCO's Nate Keim.

Elijah Valdez fell in the 165 pound bout against Ty Lucas, 6-4 after an action-packed first period that saw eight points scored between the two grapplers. Lucas was able to earn an escape point as well as a riding time point to seal the win.

CSU Pueblo returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Las Vegas, N.M. for a battle against New Mexico Highlands starting at 6 p.m. inside John A. Wilson Complex.
