COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Sept. 22, 2022) - Colorado State University Pueblo junior men's golfer Matt Millar was named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week after he won the individual title and guiding the No. 14 ThunderWolves to finish atop the leader board earlier this week at the Farmers Insurance Sam Proal Invite at Walking Stick Golf Course, the league announced Thursday.

Millar's award marks the first of the season for the junior. The Devon, England, native was lights out on the course for the Pack, shooting 12 strokes under par for a three-round score of 204. After shooting a pair of 67s in each of the first and second rounds, Millar closed the tournament with a 70 in the final round of play.
 
He concluded the tournament tied for first in Par-4 Scoring with a 3.83 average and drained 37 pars throughout the event. He also sank 13 birdies and one eagle as the ThunderWolves claimed the team title by an astonishing 33 strokes, 42 under par, with their final score of 822 (272, 273, 277).
 
The Pack will now look ahead to the Midwestern State Invitational in Wichita Falls, Texas, beginning Monday, Oct. 10. The two-day event will consist of three rounds and will be hosted by Midwestern State at Wichita Falls Country Club.
