PUEBLO, Colo. (Sept. 18, 2022) - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision against Western Colorado University Sunday at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
The Pack recorded twelve shots and was led offensively by
Faith Meredith who finished with a game-high three shots.
Western broke the scoreless game during the 39th minute after taking a deflected shot in to the net.
At halftime, CSU Pueblo tallied five shots against four by WCU.
In the second half, the Pack increased their energy and created chances at the net that were interrupted by the defense of WCU.
The ThunderWolves offense continued to be aggressive in the second half and earned six corners as a result.
In the net,
Breanna Encinas faced six shots on goal and made four saves.
CSU Pueblo (2-6, 1-1 RMAC) will next go on the road for a four-game road trip and will play at Colorado Mesa on Friday at 7 p.m. and will close the weekend Sunday at Westminster.
