DENVER, Colo. (Sept. 14, 2022) - No. 14 Colorado State University Pueblo men's golf started the 2022-23 season on a high note after securing the team title at The Writz at Mile High at the Bear Creek Golf Club.
The Pack beat a field of 11 teams and scored a +8 1088, finishing four strokes ahead of second place Colorado Christian. Three Pack players finished in the Top 10.
CCU's Adam Duncan won the individual title and scored a 6-under, finishing two strokes ahead of the Pack's
Jamie Roberts and
Liam Duncan. The Pack duo finished 4-under par and recorded a 1-under 71 in the third round.
Finishing T-9th place,
Matt Millar shot a 1-under par for the tournament and was +2 over par on the final day of action.
Jeff Nelson went +6 on Tuesday and finished T-32nd with a +7 over par for the tournament.
Tyler Tyson finished his Pack debut T-46th place and recorded a +13 and
Evan Smith ended T-50th and tallied a +14 over par for the event.
CSU Pueblo will return home next week and host the Farmers Insurance Sam Proal Invite at Walking Stick Golf Course. The two-day event begins Monday and will feature a field of 10 teams.
