PUEBLO, Colo. (August 24, 2022) - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer team will open the 2022 season at the friendly confines of Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium and will host Eastern New Mexico University in the season opener Thursday at 6 p.m. for a White Out at the pitch. The Pack will wrap the weekend Sunday versus #25 Angelo State at noon for Beach Day.

Following the match Sunday, the Pack and CSU Pueblo men's soccer will host a Junior ThunderWolves event that is open to boys & girls in K-8th grade. The annual event consists of several sport clinics throughout the year designed to create an environment of learning and sportsmanship.

The Pack begin a four-game homestand to start the season and will open at home for the first time since 2019. After this week, CSU Pueblo will take on University of Bridgeport (Sept. 2) and St. Edward's (Sept. 4). Both matches are apart of RESPECT/Suicide Prevention Weekend at the pitch.

The ThunderWolves' nonconference schedule will wrap Sept. 9 and Sept. 11 on the road at Lubbock Christian and West Texas, respectively.

The Matchups
CSU Pueblo is 2-2 all-time against Eastern New Mexico. The ThunderWolves last beat the Greyhounds in 2016. Last season, ENMU defeated the Pack 2-0 in the first game of the season.

Against Angelo State, CSU Pueblo holds a winning record at 3-2. The Pack's last win against ASU came in 2011. A year ago, CSU Pueblo fell 2-0 on the road at Angelo State. 

In Sight for the Pack

CSU Pueblo will start Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play Sept. 16 at home against Fort Lewis. On Sept. 18, Western Colorado will head to Pueblo. The two matches will be featured during the ThunderWolves' Homecoming Weekend.
