Carla Sanchez Guareño has signed a National Letter of Intent to swim with the ThunderWolves in the upcoming season.

"I would like to say thanks for the opportunity to be part of CSU Pueblo and be a ThunderWolf," says Sanchez Guareño. "I hope to learn the culture and DNA of the USA and CSU Pueblo shortly. I hope to keep learning and improving both personally and athletically."
While at Institut de L'Arboc, Sanchez Guareño participated in several national championships, and achieved her personal bests at the state championship in Catalonia, where the highest level of competition is held in Spain.
Divelbiss commented on the new signing by stating, "It's been an arduous journey for Carla to be finally accepted to CSU Pueblo. Her commitment to the process and perseverance says a lot about the type of student and swimmer she is."
Divelbiss concluded with, "I am confident she will be a valuable addition to our team! I am looking forward to having Carla join us in the pool as a ThunderWolf!"
Sanchez Guareño graduated in 2022 with a 3.94 cumulative GPA and plans to study engineering upon arrival to CSU Pueblo.
