COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (May 26, 2022) – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced the 2022 All-Academic First-Teams with the Colorado State University Pueblo men's and women's track and field programs tabbing three to the first-team and 19 to the honor roll list.
Nathan Hood (Sr., St. Davids, Grenada) inked the lone first-team honor on the men's side as the senior owns a 3.97 G.P.A. in Exercise Science. Hood is competing at the NCAA National Championships with the fourth fastest time this season in the 800-meter run. Hood is also set to compete for the Pack in the 4x400-meter relay.
On the women's side,
Yasmine Hernandez (Gr., Johnstown, Colo.) and
Jenna McKinley (Sr., Mosca, Colo.) tabbed the first-team nod for the second time this season, as the duo was named to the first-team in indoor season.
Hernandez graduated with a 3.73 G.P.A. in Nurse Management while running the fastest time this season in DII in the 1500-meter run (4:15.87) and the second fastest time in the 800-meter dash (2:03.74). The six-time All-American is set to compete in the 1500-meter run later today at the championships.
