PUEBLO, Colo. (May 1, 2022) – The Colorado State University Pueblo men's and women's track and field programs completed the 2022 RMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships with the men taking 10th and the women 12th and
Kaleb Tipton taking home the individual title in the 800-meter run.
Kaleb Tipton (Fr.) came in to the 800-meter run in a stacked field and the third fastest time in the preliminaries. Tipton didn't waste any time on the finals as he pushed himself to the front of the pack since the gun. Tipton posted the fasted 400-meter split time at 53.627 seconds and led throughout the first 600 meters before Andrew O'Keefe took the lead with 200 meters to go.
Tipton took a couple seconds before kicking it into another gear and take the lead at the 100-meter mark. Tipton's kick at the end was enough for the freshman to win the 800-meter run with a time of 1:50.43, the 19th fastest time on the NCAA provisional qualifying list this season.

- Heather Graham (Sr., Hugo, Colo.) – 4th in the shot put at 12.83 meters.
- Nikolaus Franzmair (Fr.) – placed 7th in the finals of the 1500-meter run with a time of 3:55.00.
- Mikayla Jones (Fr., Aurora, Colo.) – 8th in the high jump at 1.61 meters and 8th in the triple jump at 11.18 meters.
- Megan Dickinson (Fr.) – 11th in the javelin at 30.15 meters.
- Lucas Moran (Fr.) – 20th in the shot put with a mark of 12.47 meters.
The ThunderWolves look ahead to nationals where the men's and women's squads combined have seven athletes in the top 10 of the NCAA provisional qualifying list. The NCAA Outdoor Track & Field meet is scheduled for May 26th-28th at Grand Valley State in Allendale, Mich.
