DENVER (April 2, 2022) – The Colorado State University Pueblo women's tennis team lost their first Rocky Mountain Athletics Conference dual 6-1 to MSU Denver.
Kali Hamilton () lost the first set to MSU Denver's Isabel Heras 6-1 before taking the second set 6-3. Hamilton battled in the third and deciding set, but ultimately lost 1-0 (10-8).
Tilly Blasdale () lost her first set 6-0 before falling 6-0 to Gala Castello while teammate
Katherine Ambrose () lost 6-0, 6-0 to Marie Cool.
Marissa Sena () lost to Kayla Myburgh and
Roma Cordova () lost to Monica Guarin with both scores being 6-1, 6-0.
Sonrisa Bustamante () earned the lone win for the ThunderWolves with a forfeit.
Hamilton and Blasdale teamed up in the doubles competitions as the duo lost to Castello and Cool, 6-2. Sena and Ambrose teamed up against Heras and Myburgh as the Roadrunners took it with ease, 6-1.
The ThunderWolves return home tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. for another RMAC matchup against Colorado Mesa at the Pueblo Tennis Center.
