Sutheran Moves Into Top 10 for Pack at RMAC Championships

CHANDLER, Ariz. (April 18, 2022) – The Colorado State University Pueblo women's golf team shot two strokes better than round one for a 312 on the day to move to sixth-place overall at the 2022 RMAC Championships.
 
Amy Sutheran (Jr., Durham, England) had a consistent day on the course and it showed as the junior carded a team-low 74 on round two and moved herself in a tie for eighth place overall. Sutheran scored a birdie on hole seven before a double bogey moved her to +1 on her front nine. Sutheran stayed consistent in her back nine and carded a birdie and two bogeys to finish with a 74 (+).
 
Kylie Severin (So., Aurora Colo.) shot an even par on her front nine with a bogey on hole five followed by a birdie on hole seven. A devastating 9 on a par 4 haunted Severin to start her back nine as she finished with a final score of 80 (+8) on her second round and is tied for 17th overall with a 156.
 
Zoey Rodriguez (Fr., Pueblo, Colo.) went +2 thru her first eight holes which included a birdie on the eighth hole before a double bogey on nine and twelve moved Rodriguez to +6 on the day. The freshman ended her second round with a 79 (+7) and dropped three spots don't to 25th overall.
 
Victoria Hart (Sr., Oxforshire, England) left a few putts out on the course while carding eight bogies in her first 17 holes before finally scoring her first birdie on the day on her final hole. Hart scored a 79 in round two and is tied for 26th overall with a 160.
 
Anju Ogi (Fr., Arvada, Colo.) also played consistent golf throughout her second round as she finished five strokes better than her opening round of an 85. Ogi carded five bogies in her first 15 holes before a double bogey followed by a bogey moved the Colorado native to 80 (+8) on the day and tied for 38th.
 
The RMAC Championships will conclude tomorrow afternoon at the Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Arizona with the Pack teeing off around 8 a.m.
