PUEBLO, Colo. (April 16, 2022) – The Colorado State University Pueblo women's tennis program lost in their final match of the 2021-22 season 6-1 to MSU Denver at the Pueblo Tennis Center.
In her final match with CSU Pueblo, senior
Kali Hamilton (Sr., Grapevine, Texas) battled against MSU Denver's Gala Castillo. Hamilton lost the first set 6-4 before taking the second set 7-5. Hamilton and Castillo battled back-and-forth in the tie-breaking set, where Castillo ultimately came out victorious 11-9.
Katherine Ambrose (Sr., Bradford Woods, Pa.) also had a hard-fought match against I Heras where Ambrose fell 6-1, 6-0 and teammate
Marissa Sena (Sr., Las Vegas, N.M.) lost 6-0, 6-1 to M. Cool.
Roma Cordova (So., Belen, M.N.) won two games in the first set but lost 6-2, 6-0 to K. Myburgh and
Sonrisa Bustamante (So., Pueblo, Colo.) lost 6-1, 6-2 to Warin.
In doubles, Hamilton and Sena teamed up against Castillo and Cool where the Roadrunners won 6-1. MSU Denver also won the second doubles match by a score of 6-1 as Heras and Myburgh beat Ambrose and
Alyssa Wells (So., Converse, Texas)
