PUEBLO, Colo. (March 24, 2022) – Colorado State University Pueblo will be the host for the 2022 NCAA West/South Central Regional Championships May 5-7. CSU Pueblo will be the host school as competition will commence at the Pueblo Country Club.

The Regional Championship is comprised of the 20 teams and eight individuals. The 10 best teams from the South Central Region and the 10 best teams from the West Region to form a Super Region of 20 teams and eight individuals outside of the selected teams. The top-five teams from the Pueblo site will advance to play for a National Championship in Detroit at TPC Michigan.

CSU Pueblo was selected as the host site by the NCAA for the West/South Central Region for the first time in school history after initially putting in the bid back in 2019.

"This is going to be the best collection of amateur golfers the sport can offer," said Koschke. "I am excited for the people of Pueblo to see this type of golf. It will be on a challenging golf course and we are thrilled to see the level of talent that will rise up because of it."

Tickets for the NCAA Couth Central Regional Championships will be free of charge to all spectators.

The ThunderWolves' men's golf team clinched its bid to the NCAA National Championships in 2021 after a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Regional Championships in Dupont, Wash.Â

CSU Pueblo men's golf currently boasts a ranking of 23rd in the nation and third in the South Central region. The squad will look to defend its RMAC Championship April 17-19 before coming home to compete for an opportunity to advance to the NCAA National Championship.
