INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 12, 2022) – The Colorado State University Pueblo men's lacrosse team scored six goals in the second half but fell to the University of Indianapolis 16-8 on Saturday afternoon.
The Hounds scored the first three goals of the opening quarter before
Aryan Krause (So., Aurora, Colo.) put the ThunderWolves on the scoreboard with 4:26 left in the quarter. UIndy scored four unanswered goals
Boston Dumas (Sr., Ogden, Utah) scored the second goal of the day for the Pack. The Hounds went in to halftime with an 8-2 lead.
The Hounds again scored three goals to open the second half before Dumas netted his second goal of the day to spark a 3-1 run for the Pack.
Cameron Hancock (Jr., Highlands Ranch, Colo.) scored with 2 minutes left in the third quarter before
Logan Naves (So., Highlands Ranch, Colo.) followed with a goal of his own with 20 seconds on the clock.
UIndy took a 13-5 lead to start the fourth before Krause and Naves each scored their second goals in the game to cut the Hounds lead down to 13-7 with ten minutes left. Three goals from the Hounds ended the ThunderWolves comeback efforts with a 16-8 victory over the Pack.
Krause, Dumas, Hancock, and Naves each scored two goals for the ThunderWolves while
Tyler Gardner (So., Erie, Colo.) won 8 of his 26 face-offs and
Ethan Ferrie (Jr., Littleton, Colo.) tallied 18 saved in the goal.
The ThunderWolves return to action on March 20th against Quincy University in Grand Rapids, Mich.
