UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. (December 2, 2022) - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's cross country team recorded their highest finish in school history and placed sixth in the field at the 2022 NCAA Division II Championships at Chambers Creek Regional Park.
The ThunderWolves were guided by
Helen Braybrook with a 23rd place finish and a time of 21:09.0 and
Yasmine Hernandez who finished the race in 27th place and clocked a time of 21:10.9 for the Pack.
As a team, CSU Pueblo registered 240 points. Adams State was the overall team winner and collected 75 points with the individual winner also from ASU, Stephanie Cotter finished with a time of 19:45.2 and is a back-to-back champion.
Finishing in 58th place,
Margot Thomas-Gatel ended with a time of 21:35.0 and teammate
Bethany Donnelly earned a time of 21:41.2, good for 64th place overall.
Claire Pauley also collected points for the ThunderWolves and placed 109th overall with a time of 22:08.9.
Rounding out the field is
Taylor Holland with a time of 23:32.6 and
Halle Schmitz and her registered time of 23:38.0.
CSU Pueblo finishes its successful 2022 cross country season having finished in the top two in three races this fall.
