ThunderWolves compete at Colorado College

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (December 10, 2022) – The Colorado State University Pueblo women's swim and dive team was in action this Saturday when they traveled to Colorado Springs to take on Colorado College in a dual meet. The Tigers emerged victorious over the Pack on the day as they collected 156 points in comparison to the Pack's 46.

A span of 11 events occurred on the day and had the Pack competing in 10 of them.
 
Carla Sanchez Guareno had one of the two Pack wins on the day finishing in 1st place with a time of 1:03.77 in the 100M Back. 

The Pack's 400M Free also finished in first with a strong performance posting a 3:53.40. The winning team consisted of Aleksandra Dutkowiak, Makayla Seal, Kristen Wolf and Mckenna Hauber.  
 
The Pack finished right behind Colorado College in the first event of the day competing in the 400 Medley Relay. The relay team consisted of Guareno, Wolf, Nalani Wess and Dutkowiak.  They posted a time of 4:18.99.
 
In the 1000 Free, Hauber finished runner up with a time of 11:24.97 followed by Evdokimoff finishing in 5th place.  
 
The Pack's Dutkowiak finished in second place behind Colorado College's Kate Brush in the 200 Free. Also competing in the 200 Free, and finishing 5th and 6th was Wess and Seal.  
 
In the 200 M IM, the Pack's Guareno finished in 2nd with a time of 2:22.29. Wolf finished right behind with a time of 2:24.72.
 
The Pack's Wess swam the 100 Fly in a time of 1:05 to finish in the 3rd place. Wolf finished in 6th with a time of 1:08.08. 

Up Next
The women's swim and dive team have finished up the fall semester and will return to the pool on January 14 when they travel to Alamosa, Colo to dual Adams State.  That is scheduled to begin at 1 pm.  They will then compete in the Colorado College Invite January 19-21.
