INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Nov. 7, 2022) - No. 9 Colorado State University Pueblo men's soccer secured its first NCAA Tournament home game in school history and a second national tournament appearance in a row, earning the third seed and the journey through a field of 40 teams will begin with a second round match-up against six seeded Cal Poly Pomona on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
The
Oliver Twelvetrees-led ThunderWolves will get back on the pitch after last playing through the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament. CSU Pueblo holds a 15-3-2 record which ties the most wins since the 1999 team went 15-5-1.
The Pack enter the tournament with the 10th best goal differential in Division II, scoring 46 goals and allowing only 16 goals through twenty games.
Defensively, the Pack is guided by RMACÂ Defensive Player of the Year
Shjon Andrews. Andrews and the defensive unit has surrendered 16 goals, 19th best in the nation.
On the offensive side, twelve different players has scored at least one goal and are led by
Gabriel Campora with 12 goals on the year.
