DENVER, Colo. (November 19, 2022) – In their pursuit of moving onto the NCAA National Championships the men's and women's cross-country teams of CSU Pueblo brought together high showings this Saturday at the NCAA South Central Regional Championships. Both teams saw high finishes in a field of 24 schools with the men's team taking sixth place and the women's team taking fourth place.
Men's 10K | Results
The men's team saw 199 points to their name and had 7 different finishers. Leading the Pack on the day was
Reece Sharman-Newell who took 21
st place with a time of 31:50.30.
Daniel Beam,
Mathew Roberds and
Lucas Westbrook all saw top 50 finishes to their names as well with Beam taking 32
nd place at 32:14.10, Roberds in 44
th place at 32:35.80 and Westbrook in 50
th place at 32:41.60.
Finishing up right outside the top 50 mark were runners
Kaleb Beloy in 52
nd place at 32:47.80 and
Joseph Harker in 57
thplace at 32:57.20.
Closing out the Pack was
Richie Roberds in 62
nd place with a time of 33:10.90.
Women's 6K | Results
In the efforts of the women's team, there were 106 points earned with all five runners finishing in the top 30.
Yasmine Hernandez was the top finisher on the day when she took 17
th place at 22:10.40.
Following up right behind her in order were teammates
Margot Thomas-Gatel in 18
th place at 22:12.70 and
Bethany Donnelly in 19
th place at 22:12.90.
Helen Braybrook followed closely behind in 22
nd place with a time of 22:18.10.
Rounding out the team as the final finisher on the day was
Claire Pauley who took 30
th place at 22:29.10.

The Pack now looks forward to the final event of the year when they head to University Place, Wash. on December 3
for NCAA National Championships. Qualifiers will be decided in the following weeks to determine who will represent CSU Pueblo.
